This high-octane tourism video production competition challenges regional creative teams to craft groundbreaking promotional videos that spotlight the unique destinations, rich culture, and resilient people of Davao del Norte’s diverse Local Government Units (LGUs)β€”including our very own pristine Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS).

The DavNor Tourism Ad-Athon 2026 is not your typical video contest. It is a fast-paced, immersive production marathon where selected creative teams are assigned a specific LGU in Davao del Norte through a dynamic “draw lots” system.

What Can Selected Teams Expect?

To maintain high production value and fair play, the Provincial Tourism Office has set clear parameters for participating crews:

Team Composition
  • Size: Minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 6 members per team.
  • Eligibility: Open to filmmakers, professional content creators, college students, media practitioners, tourism advocates, and freelance creative professionals.
  • Core Roles: It is highly recommended that your crew includes specialized roles such as writers, directors, producers, videographers, photographers, editors, graphic artists, motion designers, and social media strategists.
Only 11 Teams Will Be Accepted!
Due to the intensive coordination required with host LGUs, only 11 creative teams will be accepted into the official lineup. This means spots are extremely limited, and screening will be highly competitive. The selection committee will look for teams with a strong portfolio, clear storytelling capabilities, and a genuine passion for promoting Mindanaoan hospitality and eco-tourism.
