The Sustainable Tourism Network in the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS) is a multi-stakeholder platform that promotes environmentally responsible tourism practices across the island. Facilitated by Interfacing Development Interventions for Sustainability (IDIS) in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Local Government Unit of IGACOS, it brings together tourism establishments and local stakeholders to integrate sustainability into tourism operations, including waste reduction, resource efficiency, and circular practices.

As part of broader circular economy initiatives, the network supports behavioral change toward more sustainable tourism systems while helping protect IGACOS’ natural ecosystems and strengthen community livelihoods.
